loves: "me" time.

These past few months have been insanely busy for us. With the debut of de*nada's new fall & winter collection coming up, it seems that my to do's keeps increasing and the amount of sleep I get keeps decreasing. Though I love what I do without a doubt, there are times when I definitely need a "me" time. One to two hours a day, where I simply do things I like to do that has nothing to do with work.

For example:

1. Take my two dogs to doggy park, sit at an empty bench, and just watch them run and play. My dogs are my furry children ... I adore them :) To see them have fun, makes me incredibly happy!

2. Clean my house. I know this sounds odd, but I LOVE cleaning my house ... it makes me feel so calm to have everything spotless and organized. Is it weird that I love the smell of bleach?

3. Go to the movies solo. I'm a loner, what can I say? For me, nothing is better than getting a big bucket of popcorn (hold the butter), a soft drink (1/2 diet, 1/2 regular coca-cola), and watch a movie that YOU want to watch. I especially love watching romantic films ... I'm such a weeper, so romantic films always hit the spot for me :)

This past Friday night, I had just ended a tough work week. I finished work around 11pm, and decided to get out of my office and take an impromptu "me" time. I headed down to Georgetown Theater, and bought a ticket to watch a midnight viewing of "Eat, Pray, Love." It's about one woman's search for everything across Italy, India and Indonesia to say the very least.

Despite the mix reviews it's been getting, I enjoyed it! A movie about food and traveling, and Javier Bardem is in it ... what's not to like? Overall, the movie made me laugh, cry (of course), and made me feel inspired. Afterward, I couldn't stop thinking about when I was in my early 20's and my boyfriend (now fiance) and I traveled throughout France and Spain together for a few weeks. The experience was phenomenal and absolutely priceless. Though I love to work, I also love to travel. I think I may start planning a trip for my fiance and I to go on very soon. Now where to? Any recommendations?

If you haven't seen the trailer to Eat, Pray, Love, here it is:

Much love, de*nada.
