Pajamas are Posh

With Valentine’s Day over, pajamas seem to be one of many things lingering on our minds. Although sexy lingerie may be the ultimate for special occasions like this, for most women it gets worn once. That’s okay every once in awhile, but we need sleepwear for everyday. Today, options are layered from sexy to casual, and in materials that can be worn often. After reading this, pajamas will be coveted for comfort and style.
Sexiness and comfort can be surprisingly paired. Raw silk, one of the most luxurious fabrics in the world, is also known as one to live in. Almost weightless on the body, once worn a person will never want to take it off. Designers from high to low-end use silk; with this in mind, everyone can afford to have the best. Robes, pants, camisoles and even nightgowns work in this material. I prefer all, but my ultimate is a silk robe I can lounge in from day to night.
Other great fabrics include cotton, satin and bamboo. Where cotton is concerned, my mind immediately turns to fun. Cotton equals comfort, but it also offers a lot when it comes to personal style. From solids to prints, cotton pajamas are great for those days when sexiness is important, but comfort trumps. Classic styles like a light blue striped pant and solid camisole, or a black v-neck, nightgown are perfection. This applies to satin and bamboo, as well. Materials that make one think of sleep fulfill the reason why sleepwear was created in the first place.
Along with comfortable material, color brings style to sleepwear. When thoughts of bedtime are lurking, looking stylish may not be on the top of priorities. However, if one has sleepwear in shades that work with their skin tone, one doesn’t have to think. Every piece will be both comfortable and stylish. And, when one looks good, they feel great. Stick to neutral tones like grey, black, platinum, chocolate and white, for robes and everyday pieces. Pick lavish colors like rose pink, lavender and emerald, for special occasions.
