Though exhausted, my fiance and I were really happy to finally arrive in Lima. For weeks now, we've been looking forward to coming here for many reasons: to complete de*nada's holiday collection, attend Peru Moda, plan our wedding, and also visit my family. Overall, we were anxious and ready to start our to do's promptly. After picking up our suitcases, we were greeted by my aunts and uncles, who drove us to their home in La Molina ... where you can guess, we pretty much passed out quickly in our bed, asleep like babies.
The following day, proved to be an extremely busy one. We were awake by 5am for a quick jog, a meeting at 7 and 8:30am, followed by a long drive to Callao for Peru Moda. Upon arrival, we were extremely impressed by the venue, La Forteleza de Real Felipe, a fortress built to defend the main Peruvian port and the city of Lima during colonial times. Impressed by the exteriors, we quickly entered the venue where began our tour throughout the trade show.
Overall, we enjoyed Peru Moda; the vendors, its layout, and by far its professionalism; and look forward to attending it again the following year. After hours of walking the show and networking with others, we left extremely content with what we had accomplished in one day. Although my feet were aching and my body ready to collapse, I was looking forward to the next work day with high expectations.
