You're invited to ReadysetDC Fashion District tonight! - at STROGA (DC). We are thrilled to be showcasing de*nada's f/w 2010 collection, and hope to see you there! More information below:

ReadysetDC and STROGA proudly presents fashion:district Fall/Winter 2010. This season’s show continues to put a spotlight on local businesses and designers and will be held at the beautiful STROGA studio in Adam’s Morgan which features three levels and a priceless atmosphere. The evening will include: pop-up shops; gift bags; the original music and first time collaboration of BLUEBRAIN and violist Christen Lien; art installations from Brandon Hill and Annie Kielman as well as a full elevated runway production.

Two bars include Peroni, champagne, wine and cocktails. This season’s runway show and pop-up shop participants include; ARTAYA, De*Nada Design, Derringer Friday, DURKL, Ginger Root Design, Mercedes Bien Vintage, Rue 14, Toucan and Treasury. The official fashion:district after party will be held at Napoleon Bistro & Lounge in part of Que Sera productions. Doors open at 7PM, runway show begins at 9PM.

Cocktail attire highly encouraged.
TICKETS WILL GO ON SALE WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 6th.

Our last runway show sold out in under 10 hours, so we suggest getting them early! Space is very limited.

Want to model for us? de*nada is looking for both female and male models to participate in an upcoming fashion show presented by ReadysetDC and Stroga called "fashion:district,” which will be held at the Stroga facility in Adams Morgan, Washington, DC.

• Model casting call is this Sunday October 17th from 2 pm to 4 pm at Camden Roosevelt, 2101 16th Street NW, Washington DC 20009. If traveling by car, street parking is available. If traveling by metro, the closest stop is U Street/African-Amer Civil War Memorial/Cardozo. Please arrive promptly and bring a comp card if you have one. • If accepted, mandatory dress rehearsal is on Sunday October 24th at 2 pm at the Stroga facility
• Fashion show on Thursday October 28th, arrive at Stroga facility at 5pm to prepare for the show that starts at 9 pm.

**This is event is unpaid, but you will be opened up to added experience, networking, and exposure to the DC fashion industry. Additionally, models will receive product samples to keep and photographs for their portfolios.

This week, we're highlighting The Cowl Web! This lovely neck warmer has a drop stitch (web-like) pattern, which doubles as a hood! You can wear it snug around your neck, or pull it over your head for a unique look! Perfect for when you want to keep your head warm, but don't necessarily want to put on a hat.

de*nada will be at Art on the Avenue this Saturday, 10am-6pm in Alexandria, VA. We'll be selling our new fall & winter 2010 collection at booth no. E154. Come by, check out our collection firsthand, and enjoy the festivities!

Art on the Avenue is a multi-cultural arts festival celebrating our community’s diversity through the arts. Over 300 vendors and 40,000 visitors attend. Please note that the festival will be held rain or shine!

This past weekend, we traveled up to Queens, NY for BUST Magazine's Craftacular at Maker Faire! The event was two days long, filled with meeting new and awesome designers, chatting with fantastic customers, and of course showcasing and selling de*nada's new fall & winter 2010 collection.

The event was a complete success for us! We were so happy and pleased to see so many of our new styles sell out so quickly :) No worries though ... we plan on restocking our online shop later this week (all styles and colors) ... so stay tuned!

The Braided Roped ($58) available in black, white, purple and khaki.

This week, we're highlighting de*nada's most popular style and my personal favorite, The Braided Roped! This lovely scarf is made up of several twisted strands (rope-like) with a crochet loop at one end. You can wear it a couple of different ways, but my favorite way is simply to wrap it twice around the neck, then loop the strands through the crochet loop. Simple, yet unique!
